The Academy of Beauty Careers
will provide the finest education in hair, skin, and nail care. Students
receive skills necessary for gaining and maintaining employment in "today's"
salons. Instruction is provided in design haircutting, styling, hair coloring,
skin care, facials, permanent waving, all forms of nail tips, manicuring
and chemical restructuring. Our priority is to teach the student the proper
procedures and to have the self-confidence and knowledge to become a successful
Cosmetologist.
Academy of Beauty Careers is
one of the very few schools that has a Barber program. As a Barber student
you will become proficient at cutting, styling, beard and mustache trim,
clipper cuts and "trend" design among the many other specialized
attributes that separate the barber from the cosmetologist. Employment
opportunities are excellent. Barbers can be found working in exclusive
shops, salon and day spas.

In an age of specialization,
the Esthetician plays a crucial role in a world where "pampering"
is no longer a luxury enjoyed by the privileged few. The Academy will
have the student complete a fascinating field of beauty within seven months
of intense study. Students will receive practical demonstrations, which
cover all phases of esthetics. Our graduates will have the confidence
to step into the working world to build a new and rewarding career.
Nail Specialist is a profession
that is exciting and full of rewarding benefits. The main objective of
this course is to train students in both theory and practical experience
which will prepare them for employment as Nail Specialist. Our course
combines our advanced concepts in a comprehensive curriculum. Manicuring,
Pedicuring, Nail Design, Artistry and several Nail Extension Lines are
used for instruction.
The Full specialty program combines facial and nail programs. Upon the
completion of the nail specialist program, you will begin and complete
the facial specialist program. As a full specialist you will have the
advantage of providing two services in a full service spa or specialty
salon.

Our
classes are small and offer the "one on one" attention you deserve
as a student.
Academic
scholarships are available only for the Cosmetology and Barber program.
These scholarships are based on the student's need and aptitude.
An interview and essay is required for consideration. Attendance
and GPA thresholds are required to retain the scholarship. The
scholarship award is worth up to $500.
